Christians For Environmental Stewardship

Christians For Environmental Stewardship, or CFES, is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and engaging Christians on matters of environmental stewardship, ecological education, and civic engagement. The mission of CFES is threefold: first, to educate Christians about the importance of taking care of the environment and the impact of human activities on ecosystems; second, to provide opportunities for Christians to acquire knowledge about the environment and learn how to make a difference; and third, to encourage Christians to take an active role in civic engagement, advocating for policies and practices that promote environmental sustainability.

CFES achieves its mission through various programs, including the Creation Care Study Program (CCSP), which offers ecological study abroad opportunities for Christian college students in Belize and New Zealand. Each year, approximately 60 students from around 30 Christian colleges and universities participate in these programs. Additionally, CFES runs a program called Renewal, a Christian college student peer-to-peer leadership development program that is active on 50 Christian college campuses.
