Mn Prevention & Recovery Alliance Llc

The Mn Prevention & Recovery Alliance LLC is a statewide organization, established by individuals in long-term recovery and their allies, who are dedicated to aiding in the prevention of and recovery from substance use disorders. Their mission is to come alongside Minnesota youth and adults facing the impact of substance use and related mental health issues, and to provide resources that educate, engage, and empower a life of recovery.

This organization, formed by individuals who have personally experienced recovery, is committed to fostering education and early intervention with youth to prevent substance use. They deliver peer-led presentations in schools, educating over 60,000 youth annually on the risks of substance use, healthy coping skills, and resources. These presentations have led to significant changes in healthy attitudes towards substance use among the youth.

In addition to youth education, the Mn Prevention & Recovery Alliance LLC offers peer support services to both youth and adults. They have assisted over 300 unique individuals, increasing access to recovery resources and decreasing return-to-use for those in recovery. Their work extends beyond education and support, as they also lead community efforts focused on prevention and recovery, and advocate for laws that support education, treatment, and recovery. The organization is certified as an approved recovery community organization by the Commissioner of the MN Department of Human Services, further underscoring their commitment to their mission.
