Fish Welfare Initiative

The Fish Welfare Initiative, with a mission to enhance the well-being of fish and other aquatic life utilized by humans, has taken significant strides in advancing its cause. By onboarding an additional 31 farms into its Alliance For Responsible Aquaculture, this initiative has expanded its reach and influence. Working closely with farmers, the Fish Welfare Initiative has focused on enhancing practices on the farm, particularly by advocating for sustainable stocking densities and promoting better water quality. As a result of these efforts, the lives of approximately 720,000 fish have been positively impacted, reflecting the dedication and commitment of the Fish Welfare Initiative to its crucial work. The initiative's approach not only benefits the aquatic life but also contributes to the promotion of sustainable and responsible farming practices. By making a difference in the lives of aquatic life, the Fish Welfare Initiative continues to be a beacon of hope and progress in its mission to improve and advance the welfare interests of fish and other aquatic life used by humans.
