They are pursuing innovative ways to transform healthcare by keeping people healthy and making services more convenient, accessible, and affordable for all. Covenant Hospital Hobbs' commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for everyone, regardless of coverage or ability to pay, has seen them serve millions of lives and enhance the health of the American West.

With a workforce of over 117,000 caregivers, the hospital is part of a comprehensive healthcare organization that operates in seven western states. Their services include hospitals, clinics, and a range of health and social services. Covenant Hospital Hobbs' social responsibility framework includes a stronger commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental stewardship. In 2022, they elevated the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion by restructuring resources and aligning strategies across the organization. Their integrated strategic and financial plan clearly expresses their commitment to addressing social, racial, and economic disparities in the communities they serve.

Covenant Hospital Hobbs' environmental stewardship strategy encourages waste reductions, efficient energy and water usage, local agriculture partnerships, fewer chemical use, and a reduction in carbon from travel. They have held environmental stewardship as a top priority for their leadership incentive program, ensuring alignment and momentum continues. In April 2022, they published their first environmental stewardship report, reporting a 12% reduction in carbon emissions in seven key categories since their 2019 baseline. As of September 30, 2022, they have increased that reduction to 13%.

Covenant Hospital Hobbs' regional approach to the 2021-2023 CHIP has allowed for more effectively leveraging investments in the region to meet community needs. They have collaborated with other hospitals in the region, sharing many of the same CHIP strategies, and opened a new hospital facility in Hobbs, New Mexico, in 2022. The hospital has 60 beds, 44 for surgery, 8 for intensive care, and 8 for women's services. It also includes the Maddox Community Center to be used for caregiver training and community events/education.

In the area of mental and behavioral health, Covenant Hospital Hobbs has responded to the increased demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic by expanding access to mental health counseling services for low-income and uninsured individuals. They have partnered with local non-profits and provided support and education to staff regarding mental health issues. In addition, they participate in a regional-wide mental health collaborative, which provides support to the entire Texas service area. Through this collaborative, they have supported the creation of a new diversion center that will be constructed in 2023-2024 and brought mental health conferences to the region.
