Live Well Inc

Live Well Inc, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to serving the needs of seniors and older adults. Its primary mission involves operating an adult day care program known as Live Well at Iwilei, and providing a Home and Community-Based Service (HCBS) called Kahala Nui at Your Service.

Live Well at Iwilei is a day care program designed for seniors, offering supervision during the working hours of their caregivers. The program provides a structured environment, ensuring the daily activities of up to 50 seniors are well-managed. This includes meals, activities, physical therapy, and various forms of entertainment such as games, puzzles, music, old movies, and educational programs. The program aims to promote safety, independence, and overall well-being for its attendees, serving approximately thirty seniors daily from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM, excluding recognized holidays.

In addition to the day care service, Live Well Inc offers Kahala Nui at Your Service, a Home and Community-Based Service (HCBS) for older adults who wish to age in their own homes and communities. This service provides a range of in-home assistance, including housekeeping, minor home repairs and maintenance, in-home care assistance, and take-out meals. The purpose of these services is to help seniors maintain their independence and health while living in their own homes.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Live Well Inc had to temporarily close its At Your Service program in 2021. Despite this challenge, the organization continues to serve its mission of providing care and support for seniors in their own homes and communities through its Live Well at Iwilei program.
