Center For Creative Living

The Center for Creative Living is dedicated to enhancing the lives of senior citizens in southwestern Oklahoma. Their mission is centered around improving the overall well-being of this demographic, focusing on three key aspects: physical health, emotional and social wellness, and intellectual stimulation. The absence of the Center for Creative Living in this context would potentially lead to a rise in isolation, depression, injuries, illnesses, and early deaths among the elderly. Actively promoting healthy aging benefits not only individuals but also contributes positively to the overall vibrancy of the community. Seniors who are active and healthy are more likely to engage in community activities, volunteer, and contribute to the community's overall thriving nature.

In the past year, the Center for Creative Living served over 22,000 meals, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring the physical well-being of the elderly. Their efforts also extended to garnering 13,650 volunteer hours, translating to an estimated value of $19,474. This significant contribution from volunteers underscores the Center for Creative Living's impact on the community. In addition, they succeeded in securing funding from three new grantors: Anderson, Sarkeys, and ARPA, along with support from Classic Chevy. Despite the challenges posed by cancellations of indoor activities due to circumstances beyond their control, the Center for Creative Living continues to play a vital role in the aging continuum of care, fulfilling a crucial need for senior citizens.
