In 2022, Independent Sector's community building work continued primarily in a virtual environment, maintaining connections with changemakers across the nation. They hosted three Upswell Pop-ups attended by approximately 1,000 individuals, each focusing on crucial conversations for creating a racially just nation. The events emphasized the wellbeing and self-care of changemakers and communities, bridging differences towards justice and belonging, and transforming systems through advocacy and narrative change.
