Playsafe

Playsafe, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to educating, promoting, supporting, and fostering safe athletic participation. Their mission is to encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyles, wellness, and safe athletic participation among inactive youth, young adults, and the community at large. Playsafe works tirelessly to expand its services and reach, aiming to provide more young athletes with access to full-time athletic trainers. Their recent efforts have enabled an additional 1,200 student-athletes to benefit from professional sports medicine services.

Furthermore, Playsafe is proactive in addressing opioid addiction, planning a pilot program in collaboration with health providers, counties, and schools to prevent opioid addiction among its target demographic. Mental health awareness is another priority for Playsafe, which aims to integrate mental health education into all its community outreach programs. All of Playsafe's athletic trainers are certified in advanced first aid and injury management protocols, ensuring they are equipped to handle any situation that may arise during athletic activities.

In addition to these initiatives, Playsafe is committed to community engagement and partnerships. They have secured additional funding to offer scholarships and provide free training services, thereby increasing the accessibility of their programs.
