Lost Our Home Pet Foundation, a compassionate organization, dedicates its efforts to assisting pets and their human counterparts in times of crisis. The foundation's mission is geared towards providing essential services that ensure the wellbeing of pets when their owners face various hardships, such as domestic violence, homelessness, medical needs, or foreclosure.

The organization's most comprehensive program, known as the Temporary Care Program, offers up to 120 days of shelter, medical care, food, and enrichment for pets whose owners are in the midst of a crisis. The program not only provides short-term housing for pets but also offers light social work services to help their human families resolve their predicament. In 2022, Lost Our Home Pet Foundation offered 128,292 nights of safe shelter to 248 pets, enabling their families to overcome their challenges.

Furthermore, the foundation's Rescue to Adoption Program aims to protect and care for pets whose owners can no longer provide for them due to financial difficulties or other life circumstances. These pets often face abandonment, and the foundation offers them a chance at a new life by providing them with the necessary care and a chance to find new loving homes. In 2022, Lost Our Home Pet Foundation took in 893 dogs and cats, providing them with much-needed care and a second chance.

Additionally, the organization's Food Bank Program works to ensure that no pet goes hungry by providing pet food and supplies to financially struggling individuals. By doing so, the foundation helps prevent pet abandonment and alleviates the stress of pet ownership during difficult times. In 2022, the program served 72,960 meals to hungry pets.

Moreover, Lost Our Home Pet Foundation specializes in aiding domestic violence victims by providing care for their pets, which is crucial in helping them leave abusive situations. By partnering with domestic violence shelters, the foundation offers temporary care programs to ensure the safety of pets and their families until they find a permanent home. In 2022, Lost Our Home Pet Foundation worked with a shelter to help care for 43 pets whose families were staying at the shelter.

As part of the foundation's Rescue to Adoption Program, Lost Our Home Pet Foundation also partners with the Tempe Police Department, offering them access to the shelter 24/7 to drop off pets they encounter during their calls. This partnership ensures that stray pets, rescued pets, and abandoned pets receive the necessary care and attention they deserve. In 2022, 178 pets were taken in through this partnership.
