They deliver quality early care and education licensing preparation while also offering contract management, quality assurance, and professional development to their regional Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) partners. The long-term objective of this program is to create and sustain a field of professionals prepared to provide licensed childcare. In the short term, SFTA supports committed potential childcare professionals in preparing for the licensing process by ensuring safe and healthy environments and implementing appropriate policies.
SFTA's Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) program includes both administration and operations components. With defined technical assistance and data collection processes prioritized, each CCR&R generates their customized work plan based on nine options for services, ranging from training and technical assistance to scholarships and stipends for training and cohort models. The long-term objective of this program is to address systemic barriers regarding access to and quality of early care and education settings across Wisconsin. In the short term, SFTA inspires, develops, and implements innovative strategies for improving the quality of early care and education in Wisconsin, complementing and optimizing other quality improvement initiatives such as Youngstar.
