Established in 1974 as a sheltered workshop, Rt Industries Inc has evolved over the years, transitioning from primarily community-based services to offering pre-employment, employment maintenance, transportation, and adult day services. These comprehensive offerings are designed to support individuals with disabilities in achieving community living, connecting with the greater community, and exploring various opportunities.

The organization's mission of helping people achieve personal success is further strengthened by their strategic plan, which focuses on employee retention, growth and development, community-based services, and equipping individuals with the right tools for competitive employment. This mission, adopted in March of 2019, is reflected in Rt Industries Inc's daily operations, which include maintaining community-based services five days a week for over twenty individuals with developmental disabilities. These services promote community living, fostering a sense of connection and exploration beyond the organization's walls. In 2022, Rt Industries Inc served over 338 enrollees through day and employment services for school-aged students to aging adults, demonstrating their commitment to this mission.
