Environmental League Of Massachusetts Action Fund Inc

The Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund Inc is a political organization with a mission to build political power that matches the scale and urgency of our environmental challenges. It was established in 1997 as a 501(c) (4) affiliate to the Environmental League of Massachusetts. The organization's primary activities involve elevating energy and environmental issues in campaigns at every level of government.

Through various initiatives, the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund aims to make a significant impact on environmental policies. They host candidate forums for local, state, and federal offices, coordinate the Green Voter Guide - an online resource that allows voters to identify candidates for state office who have earned the endorsement of environmental organizations. They also employ college and graduate students as paid campaign fellows to support a broad range of programmatic and campaign activities.

In addition to these activities, the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund lobbies on behalf of stronger environmental policies and endorses candidates based on their environmental leadership. They have established two political committees, the ELM Action Fund Political Action Committee (PAC) and the ELM Action Fund Independent Political Action Committee (IEPAC), to help elect environmental champions to public office. These committees are subject to the restrictions and reporting regulations mandated by the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance. However, the combining financial statements do not include the financial activities of these two political committees.
