The Child Development Center Corporation, often abbreviated as CDC, is committed to fostering the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth of children in a nurturing environment based on Christian values. Their mission is to offer a top-notch child development center that caters to the needs of King's Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) staff members and the local community. The center, open from 5:30 AM to 5:45 PM, Monday through Friday, serves children aged six weeks to four years old, ensuring a convenient and supportive environment for families.

The CDC is staffed by qualified educators, with lead teachers holding credentials such as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or an associate degree in early childhood, arts, or applied science. Supporting staff also holds relevant qualifications, including certifications in early childhood administration and direction. The center employs approximately 45 team members, who work together to deliver an age-appropriate curriculum, prioritizing kindergarten readiness in the preschool classrooms. The center encourages family involvement and hosts regular parent conferences.

In addition to its educational programs, the CDC also engages with the local community, inviting local police and fire departments, university nutrition education programs, and other community helpers to visit and interact with the children. The center director also networks with higher education facilities to involve local students in enriching experiences at the center.
